“I started showing because I had a pretty dog and wanted to see what it was all about. I watched, I tried to copy what other handlers did. I took handling classes and asked questions of people willing to tolerate me. Mostly what I found was folks all too happy to tell me what I was doing wrong. Telling me that I would never win without a handler and that I wasn’t doing my gorgeous dog justice.
I took a stacking class with Show Dog Prep School
1 hour long online class changed my whole outlook. Instead of telling me what I was doing wrong, Vicki Aquino Ronchette told me “why don’t you try this?”
I signed up for a mentorship and started to really have fun with my dogs.
I’ve shown 7 dogs to their Championship. 4 to their grand.
If you’re trying something new, it’s OK to suck at it for awhile. Find people who will encourage you rather than tear you down.””

“SDPS brag! My 2nd “shy to showy” project got his 2nd major at a HUGE Basenji specialty after flying from Portland to Chicago last weekend. Andrea Stone can attest that he’s been patiently learning to accept strangers and learn to love the ring. He’s a testimony to patience and perseverance, and NOT pushing a dog but let them show when they are ready for. He now shows consistently, solidly and likes it (note: doesn’t love, but likes).
I hope this helps inspire others to keep up the good work, it DOES pay off.”

“Under Vicki’s expert guidance, Remy and I thrived. My handling skills improved, Remy’s biddability improved, and together we flourished as a team. Whenever I fell – and I fell often (and still do) – Vicki was there to pick me back up, offering support, encouragement and kind words, urging me to give it another go. Currently, Remy is ranked as the #1 All-Breed/#4 Breed Vizsla in the nation. He finished his CH at 12 months old, and four months later completed his GCH. In February 2017 he won his first BISS, and recently earned his Bronze GCH, with several group placements along the way. And he’s not even two years old! It has been quite the wild and unexpected ride. One thing’s for sure – I absolutely could not have done any of it without the guidance, support and training from Vicki Ronchette.”

“This is proof that Vicki’s “From Shy to Showy” methods really work! The table used to be my worst nightmare because Odin would quite literally flip out on the table refusing to be touched. I didn’t want to force Odin to do something that made him clearly uncomfortable. A lot of it has also come from maturity and gaining more experience and confidence as a handler, but most of it came from Vicki’s book. Odin is now unstoppable in the ring and shines so bright! Watching this video and seeing how far we have come brings tears to my eyes. I am beyond proud of this boy and we make an amazing team ❤️”

“Vicki is amazing. She is so knowledgable, helpful and kind. In just one lesson she was able to see my girl’s personality and give some simple games to make running in the ring more fun for her. We took what we learned and went on to be Winner’s B*tch at the North Florida German Shorthaired Pointer Club’s specialty show in Orlando. 10/10 recommend Vicki for all things show dog training!”

“Thank you thank you thank you Vicki – your help has been amazing and it wouldn’t have been nearly as fun without you and this group!

“I contacted Show Dog Prep School to help me get noticed in groups. Hugo was being rewarded in Owner Handled Group but I need that boost in Regular Group against the heavily stacked number one dogs with pro handlers. I brought three concerns to Vicki prior to leaving for our Nationals and competing in a region new to us. I thought I needed traditional handling technique help but what I really needed was just advice from someone other than those mentoring me back home. My main concern was how to overcome inconsistency in my dog in afternoon groups. Thank you SDPS for all of your tips!!! We did this TWO WEEKS after our first consult!! I’m over the moon and ready to win the next ribbon with the beautiful Chow of mine.”

“We got our first two points ever with my very first show dog today! I am on cloud nine and still shaking from the excitement. Thank you Vicki Aquino Ronchette for all your support and instruction. It has been invaluable, especially the Mentor Program and all the wonderful members. After a slow start to the long weekend, Maya got RWB yesterday. Today she got WB, BOS, and BOBOH.”
